Classes We Offer
At Radiant Dance Center, we provide dancers with the opportunity to enhance their technique through group classes and private lessons. We desire for our dancers to grow in skills, versatility, and strength.

Class Objectives
Kinder-1st grade Combo Skills: Students will focus on body awareness, motor fitness, rhythmic skills, strength flexibility, coordination, endurance, and physical vitality. Students will learn a range of movement styles and skills including locomotor movement such as walking, running, hopping, and turning.
2nd-5th grade Ballet/Lyrical: Students will build upon foundational movement by doing more barre and center work, and focusing on correct placement. Students will perform teacher-selected and developmentally appropriate dance steps and movement patterns. Students will combine locomotor movement patterns and dance steps to create a dance while using correct rhythm and dance patterns.
2nd-5th grade Hip Hop/Acrobatics: Students will build upon the foundational movements of hip hop. Students will perform teacher-selected and developmentally appropriate dance steps and movement patterns. Students will combine locomotor movement patterns and dance steps to create a dance while using correct rhythm and pattern.With a combination of Acrobatics which uses strength and flexibility to perform gymnastic-based tricks. In this class, students perform conditioning exercises to prepare them for increased difficulty. It teaches flexibility, balance, strength, and coordination.
6th-12th grade Radiant Dance Team: (Recommendation only) Students will develop skills and gain a more in-depth understanding of dance vocabulary, movement, principles, and conventions. Perform movement from different dance techniques with attention to alignment, style, quality, weight and rhythm. Demonstrate an understanding of anatomical and kinesthetic principles as they relate to alignment and expression. Use the body effectively as an instrument for performance with attention to areas including, but not limited to: range of motion, flexibility, strength, awareness, specificity, qualitative range and engagement with the imagination. Dance Team has opportunities to create solos/duets/ trios in addition to working with guest artists who will assist with versatility and skills.
List of dance styles
Ballet – The foundation of all dances. A classical dance form that teaches grace and precision and employs formalized steps and gestures set in intricate, flowing patterns to create expression through movement.
Jazz – a rhythmic form of dance that combines both African and European dance styles. This high-energy dance has a liveliness that sets it apart from traditional dance forms, such as classical ballet.
Hip Hop – a vibrant form of dance that combines a variety of freestyle movements to create a cultural piece of art. Through its three main styles of popping, locking, and breaking, hip-hop dance has evolved into one of the most popular and influential styles of dance.
Contemporary – a style of interpretive dance that embraces innovation, blending techniques from various genres, including classical ballet, jazz, modern dance, and lyrical dance.
Lyrical – is a style that combines ballet and jazz dancing techniques. It is performed to music with lyrics so that it inspires expression.
Dance Composition/Choreography – the art of making dances, the gathering and organization of movement into order and pattern
Tap- is a unique style of dance involving specific and rapid footwork. The dancer’s foot and shoe essentially act as a drum, and each part of the shoe makes a particular beat and sound.
Acrobatics-a style of dance that combines nearly any style of dance, but usually lyrical, contemporary, or jazz with acrobatic skills and tricks.
